On Thursday, March 3rd from 2 PM to 3 PM join us for a webinar about soils with a focus on tree fruit. We all read soil reports, but what do some results like CEC and base saturation actually mean for your management practices? Join us to learn more about soils and how to use soil reports to their full extent in tree fruit.
Our speaker is Caitlin McCavour, Perennia’s soil specialist who is ready to dig deep to support the tree fruit sector. Caitlin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and is completing her Master of Science at Dalhousie University in Earth and Environmental Science (2021). Her MSc research focused on the response of acidified forests to helicopter liming, emphasizing soil and plant tissue chemistry. Through her education, she gained experience in soil chemistry, soil microbiology and nutrient management. Caitlin also has experience in the field, conducting research in agriculture, wetland ecology and forestry.
